Through the looking glass

Today I had one of my personal beliefs reinforced. The belief that how you perceive life is the extent of its reality. Many existentialist stories have been written about this. Not that there is nothing beyond what we see, but what we see is shaped by the way we see it. You can choose to see your life as inconsequential, but those whose lives you have touched would disagree. You can see technology, nature, men, women, the wealthy, the poor, and anything else any way you want. Reality is your choice, so look through a looking glass that brings a peace.

But not if you sacrifice responsibility.

there most certainly are other kinds.

in fact there are so many kinds that there are no kinds! we are all divided by our humanity. we are all divided and commingled by our sameness our unison our love and our destruction.

and robert service.

goodness i remember when i was in canada we had to do memorize a robert service poem, turn it into a kind of poetry ensemble and the whole 5th grade class had to present it in front of the whole schoool at an assembly.

it was the Cremation of Sam McGee if you remember. ahaha i liked that one.
